Spring has sprung in the Cornhusker State. Nowhere is that more evident than in the specks of color that have been emerging across the countryside in recent weeks.
Sure, the lawns are starting to green up, tulips are on the verge of blooming just in time for Easter, and farm machinery of all colors— most notably red and green— has been spotted in fields. However, the stark contrast of the color of spring is most evident on the shoulders of our state’s highways.
