Loup City’s water is the best in the state.
At least, that is the sentiment of a panel of judges with the Nebraska Rural Water Association (NeRWA), an association that provides training, technical assistance, and advocacy for rural water and wastewater systems across Nebraska.
For the third time in four years, Loup City’s water took home first place in the Best Tasting Water Contest at NeRWA’s annual conference, which was held in the Younes Center in Kearney on March 11th and 12th this year. The city’s previous wins came in 2022 and 2024.
