The dedication of the display of “Muddy Run,” a painting by renowned artist and Litchfield native Edward Kucera, will be held on March 25, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. on the second floor of the Sherman County Courthouse in Loup City.
“Muddy Run” was donated by Kucera to the Sherman County Community Foundation in March 2024. The Foundation had sought a permanent home for the painting that would be suitable for the public to access and enjoy now and in the future. The Sherman County Commissioners agreed to display “Muddy Run” in the courthouse for that purpose. The dedication is open to the public.
