RAVENNA BOND ISSUE

Ravenna Public Schools (RPS) is moving forward with the issuance of general obligation bonds not to exceed $5,500,000 for new construction and renovation to its school campus. The proposed bond issue received strong public support at a special election held last Tuesday, March 11th, passing with just shy of seventy-one percent of the 733 total votes in its favor.

“I honestly wasn’t surprised by the results,” said Ravenna Superintendent Dr. Ken Schroeder last week. “There was a lot of positive energy from the people who I talked to about the proposed solution, and I think those positive thoughts sort of bore out in the election results.”
