Sherman County sees fifty-percent turnout for bond vote

There were 733 voters in the Ravenna school district that cast ballots in last week’s special bond election. Of those votes, just over 100 were cast in Sherman County.

Last Thursday, Buffalo County Election Commissioner Lisa Poff released the precinct totals for both the special election concerning the Ravenna school district and the special election held in the Pleasanton school district.

For the Ravenna vote, on February 18th, Sherman County Election Commissioner Marcy Sekutera sent out 221 ballots. Of those, just over half—111—were returned by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11th, the deadline for votes to be counted.
